Old Software

I remeber a time when Computers didn't have mice. Nor did they have hard drives. Everything was on these huge black floppy disks that contained less than a megabyte of data.

I'm sure some of you can remember worse.

View from the WAAAY Top

Went on a tour of WCIU's (and others) transmitter while returning a piece of equipment.

Thing is, the transmitter is on floor 102 of the Sears Tower.

Back Alley Fix

Let me tell you, this is pretty much the place to go for electronic parts in Decatur. They supply all the large companies in town too I think.

The area sure feels like going out for some sort of electronic drug fix though.

Check Signal Cable

Until I get a replacement PC, I get to look at this. I suppose I could turn them off but that seems a bit depressing.

Cops

Oh look, there's those cops I was twittering about...

A couple went flying by, probably 100 plus MPH. Four cars had a brown SUV pulled over.

The View From The Top...

I've been working lately on installing an antenna for television and radio at our Decatur office. This involved putting an antenna on the roof of the 9 story OneMain Place building in Decatur and running a coax cable 9 stories down into the office.

Turns out, the pole I mounted the antenna to is only attached to the AC ducts and is not bolted to the roof. I had to lug a pair of cinderblocks up there to provide ballast.

Now I'm sitting on one of the chairs the owner has bolted to the roof taking in the view while my arms try to get over the trip.

Kind of a Jerk

There is one coach at soccer almost everyone can't stand. Seriously, he sounds like a drill sergent when he's screaming at the kids. The problem is that he's yelling at a bunch of 10 year olds.

The problem is, he's head of the league.

Makeshift Raincover...

It started raining halfway through soccer this morning. I used the bag for my chair to make a quick protective cover for my camera. Worked very well actually.
